Hey friends,
If you’re here, you probably already know we’re a loud, messy, Jesus-loving homeschool family of six living in Connecticut. You might have followed our Tang Soo Do journey, or maybe you just stumbled in because you googled “how to feed four growing boys without losing your mind.” Either way — pull up a chair. You’re home.
I’m the mom who never meant to become a “food person.”
I grew up on boxed mac and cheese and thought “meal planning” was something people did on Pinterest, not in real life. Then we had four boys in eight years, the grocery bill started looking like a car payment, and the Lord gently whispered, “Feed my sheep… and also figure out how to stretch ground beef into three different dinners.”
So here we are.
This blog is simply our family’s real-life kitchen — the highs, the flops, the nights we eat gourmet sourdough pizza and the nights we eat cereal because Mom forgot to thaw the chicken (again). We’ll show you:
Our actual grocery hauls (Costco receipts included — no shame)
What a family of six really eats in a week on a normal budget
Recipes that work when four boys are hangry and one mom is tired
How we freeze, batch-cook, and hide vegetables without starting a riot
And most importantly — how the Lord is using something as ordinary as dinner to teach us about provision, gratitude, community, and grace.
Because here’s what I’ve learned in the last decade of feeding this crew:
The kitchen is holy ground.
Breaking bread together is still one of the most powerful ways Jesus shows up in our day.
And when we invite Him to the table — even when the table is sticky and loud — He multiplies everything. The food, the laughter, the lessons, the love.
So whether you’re a fellow homeschool mom trying to survive 3 p.m., a dad who just wants dinner on the table without a meltdown, or anyone who believes food and faith belong in the same sentence — you’re welcome here.
Grab a cup of coffee (or sweet tea, no judgment) and stick around.
We’re just getting started, and there’s always room for one more at our table.
With a full heart and a messy kitchen,
Mom (and the four boys who are currently yelling “Is it ready yet?!” in the background)

P.S. First real grocery haul + meal plan drops tomorrow. See you then! 🙌
