Our First REAL Costco Haul for the Blog

Our First REAL Costco Haul – $596 Worth of Groceries and a Whole Lot of Chaos

Hey friends — it finally happened.

We walked into Costco today with four boys, zero chill, and one mission: stock the pantry before the holiday whirlwind hits. We walked out with a cart so full the wheels were literally groaning and the cashier gave me that knowing “you must have boys” smile.

It was PACKED! We parked back here!
Holiday week parking-lot reality. You know the drill. We parked all the way in the back corner!

Here’s everything we grabbed — the good, the random, and the “why did we need six giant bags of flour?” moments that make this life so perfectly us.

  • One massive brisket (because smoking brisket the day before Thanksgiving is apparently now our family tradition — pray for me)
  • Ground beef, beef patties, and enough cheese to supply a small nation (seriously, the cheese aisle is dangerous)
  • Heavy whipping cream, raw honey, avocado oil, and literal mountains of butter (baking season is coming, friends)
  • Pasta variety pack, flour, sugar, and the most delicious Crown Maple syrup on planet earth (not sponsored… but Crown, if you’re reading this, call me)
  • Gluten-free frozen pizzas stashed in the cart like contraband (because some nights are just “grace” nights)
  • And honestly… too much to even list. The island disappeared under bags the second we got home.

Total damage: $596.64

This is what feeding six people actually looks like on a random Sunday before Thanksgiving week — some weeks feel elegant and put-together, most weeks it’s “throw everything in the freezer and pray it all fits.”

There is so much!!
The island is officially buried. Send prayers (and maybe a bigger freezer).

We’ve got meal plans, freezer cooking videos, and probably a few meltdowns headed your way this week. If you’ve ever stood in the Costco parking lot wondering how on earth you’re going to feed a crew without losing your ever-loving mind — you’re in the right place. You’re not alone, and you’re so very welcome here.

Pull up a chair, grab a cup of coffee (or in my case, the emergency chocolate), and stick around. The kitchen is open, the table is loud, and there’s always room for one more.

With a grateful (and slightly overwhelmed) heart,
Mom & the four wild ones
