Our First Tiny BJ’s Haul – $38, 5 Items

Hey friends — welcome to the very first official grocery run for CT Nutritious Family Kitchen!

I’ll be honest: I only needed a couple things, so I popped into BJ’s with zero plan to film a “big haul.” But the second I tossed that pumpkin pie in the cart I thought… “Wait. This is literally the business now.” and here we are.

BJs haul receipt and items
Total: $38.75
  • Pumpkin pie – $6.99 (the boys spotted it and yelled “Thanksgiving came early!”)
  • Two boxes of “healthy-ish” cereal – $8.79 (fiber + not complete sugar bombs = mom win)
  • Light vanilla creamer – $3.99 (because coffee is a food group)
  • Fresh bakery cookies – $7.99 (treat day, no explanation needed)
  • Package of cream cheese – $10.99 (hello future pumpkin cheesecake and bagel mornings)

Grand total: $38.75

Yes, it’s small. Yes, it’s random. But here’s the thing — this is real life. Some weeks we do massive Costco runs. Some weeks we’re just grabbing creamer and cookies and calling it victory. And now every single one of those trips gets to live here… because this blog is about the real stuff, not the perfectly staged stuff.

So thank you for being here on day… what, three? Four? Your comments and shares mean the world, and yes — there’s already a giant Costco haul coming VERY soon. Promise.

Until then, go eat a cookie. You’ve earned it.

With a grateful (and slightly caffeinated) heart,
Steve
