Hey friends,
Christmas is in full swing here — lights are up, presents are (mostly) wrapped, and the boys are bouncing off the walls like it’s Christmas Eve every day. Between cookie baking, last-minute shopping, and Tang Soo Do practices, the fridge was starting to look like a ghost town. So I made the big pre-holiday run on the 20th, and whew… this one was a doozy.
Total damage: $342.57). The kitchen island is officially protesting under the weight, and I’m officially out of counter space. Here’s the full spread as soon as I got everything unloaded:

This one was all about stocking up for Christmas week — lots of quick meals, snacks for the inevitable “I’m hungry NOW” moments, and extras for holiday baking and gatherings. Standouts included:
- Ground beef and other meats (for chili and meatballs)
- Eggs, milk, and mini-wheats (the usual suspects)
- Fresh produce (oranges, apples, bananas — trying to sneak in some nutrition)
As I surveyed the counter chaos, I thought about Philippians 4:19 — “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” This haul isn’t glamorous, but it’s provision. Enough milk for the boys, enough snacks for the chaos, enough ingredients for the memories we’re building this week.
So here’s to the overflowing islands, the half-empty wallets, and the God who turns every grocery bag into blessing — even when the holiday season feels a little overwhelming.
What’s your must-have item for the week before Christmas? The one that keeps the sanity? Drop it below — I need all the ideas!
With a stocked pantry and a grateful heart,
