January 20 – February 14, 2026 Grocery Hauls – Life Is Moving at Warp Speed (and the Boys Are Eating Faster Than That)

Posted on February 18, 2026

Hey friends,

It’s been almost a month since my last post, and I can hardly believe it. January melted into February, Christmas decorations finally came down (mostly), Tang Soo Do belt tests came and went, homeschool projects piled up, and somewhere in the middle of all that, we kept eating. A lot. Like, a ridiculous amount.

These boys are growing at an alarming rate. One minute they’re toddlers stealing bites of my sandwich, the next they’re teenagers emptying the fridge before I can even unload the groceries. The milk jug disappears overnight, the snack drawer is a war zone, and I swear the bread vanishes the moment I turn my back. We’ve been on the grocery treadmill — multiple hauls over the last few weeks just to keep up. Here’s a glimpse of what the kitchen island has looked like lately:

These eight hauls (yes, eight!) kept the fridge full, the lunchboxes packed, and the snack drawer from looking like a war zone. Milk, eggs, bread, fruit, deli meats, frozen pizzas, cheese sticks, chips, more milk, and whatever else the boys needed to fuel their endless energy. The island has been a revolving door of bags and boxes, and I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve said, “We just went shopping!”

Time is moving faster than I can keep up with. One day it’s New Year’s, the next it’s mid-February, and somehow the kids are taller, hungrier, and louder every week. But even in the rush — the endless unpacking, the “Mom, we’re out again,” the late-night restocks — I keep coming back to the same quiet truth: He provides. Day after day, haul after haul, meal after meal. The same God who fed the Israelites with manna is still feeding us — sometimes with kale and chicken, sometimes with cereal and milk. And it’s always enough.

So here’s to the fast-moving winter days, the overflowing grocery carts, and the kids who eat like tomorrow might not come (spoiler: it always does). Grateful for every trip to the store, every full fridge, and every moment around this table.

What’s the one food your kids devour faster than you can buy it? The one that makes you laugh-cry at the grocery store? Drop it below — solidarity in the snack struggle is real.

With a full pantry and a grateful heart,

P.S. More hauls (and hopefully slower time) coming soon. Stay tuned! 🛒❄️
