Hey friends,
Life has been a whirlwind these past few days — Christmas decorating, homeschool wrapping up for break, Tang Soo Do belt tests, and all the holiday magic that somehow turns December into a blur. I meant to share this haul right after it happened on the 12th, but… you know how it goes. Better late than never, right?
We did the rare double-store run: Big Y for the deli meats and chips that make lunchboxes happy, then BJ’s for the bulk essentials that keep this crew of six running. Here’s the evidence — two hauls, one very full kitchen island:
Notable stars from the trip:
- Loads of deli meats and chips (Big Y) — spiral ham, salami, roast beef, and every chip flavor under the sun. Lunchbox survival mode activated.
- 6 gallons of whole milk (BJ’s) — because holiday baking + breakfast cereal phase = this is non-negotiable.
- Giant box of ice cream — for those “we deserve a treat” nights after decorating the tree.
- Wagyu beef burgers — these are next-level good. Treat-yo’-self dinner coming soon.
- Fresh veggies, oranges, and 4 dozen eggs — trying to balance the universe with some nutrition amid the holiday chaos.
As I unpacked bag after bag, I kept thinking about Matthew 6:11 — “Give us this day our daily bread.” These hauls aren’t just food; they’re little reminders that He’s still providing, day by day, even when the calendar feels overwhelming and the fridge runs empty faster than we can fill it.
So here’s to the double-store runs, the overflowing islands, and the God who multiplies every grocery bag into enough for today — and tomorrow’s lunches too.
What’s your go-to “holiday survival” grocery item? The one that gets you through December? Drop it below — I need all the ideas!
With a decorated tree and a stocked fridge,

P.S. Wagyu burger night recap coming soon — because some hauls deserve their own post. 🎄🛒
