Hey friends,
I went into the kitchen thinking “let’s just test a new sourdough idea”… and accidentally created the dish that made four boys go completely silent for five whole seconds. That has never happened in the history of this house.
Meet the Sourdough Taco Pizza.
Instead of regular pizza sauce, I swapped in a creamy queso cheese sauce. Then topped it with taco-seasoned ground beef straight from the skillet. Baked it on my favorite sourdough crust until bubbly and golden, and finished it with cold lettuce, sour cream, and a generous drizzle of hot sauce after slicing.
The result? A crispy-chewy sourdough crust holding up to all that taco goodness, melty queso in every bite, and that perfect hot-cold contrast that makes you didn’t know you needed in life. The boys demolished it in record time and immediately asked, “Can we have this every Friday?”
Full recipe is coming next week — I tweaked things as I went (classic me), but it turned out so good I’m writing it down this time before I forget. Stay tuned!
Until then… who else is team “taco + pizza = best idea ever”? Drop a 🌮🍕 below if you want the recipe the second it’s ready!
With flour in my hair and queso in my soul,
